Pricing

I would absolutely love for somebody to tell me how they decided on these prices.

Once you choose one option you’re stuck with it FOREVER. Can you really live the rest of your life with only 3 tans?

I don’t mean to kill the joke or sound like an idiot, but I’d guess that the “$3″ was supposed to be “$30″.

They’ve got these signs ALL OVER THE PLACE and they all say $3. Also, who the hell are you?

  4. Dav says:

I’m guessing by your website that you’re Todd. Nevermind, sorry.

Ha ha ha, I love the “who the hell are you”. It’s all Jacob’s fault that I ended up here, by the way, because he listed his site with his contact information in wikizilla. I’m still trying to figure out if that was a bad idea…

Ok, here’s my second theory: They thought, when people look at the price for 8, it establishes how much they think the tans are worth, so that when they look at the price for 3 they will realize how much of a great deal it is. You only get the deal once per customer (I think I can discern that in the small print), so it’s a free promo which has been slightly altered so that people look at it and think, “What the hell?” and it sticks in their head. It also might make people think that it is mistake, and that, therefore, they will be getting a special deal by calling them on it.

If that was their plan then it totally worked.
